Locust Projects offers the WaveMaker Grants 2026 to support experimental artistic projects in Miami. Local artists can receive grants of up to $6,000 for new works, long-term projects, or research and development. Projects must include visual art as the main component and be presented free to the public in unconventional spaces. The opportunity is open to visual artists, cultural organizers, and collectives residing in Miami-Dade County, but not to nonprofit organizations or commercial businesses. The application opens on 1 February 2026 and closes on 1 April 2026. It is supported by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. Recipients will be announced by the end of August 2026, with projects expected to begin in September 2026.
