The Michigan Design Prize 2026 invites K-12 students to create a furniture concept that addresses specific issues or meets particular needs, usable in various environments. Participants can work individually or in teams of up to four members and must submit a project description in English, possibly supported by a video. Finalists will receive mentoring from professional designers and will be recognized in promotional media by the Michigan Design Council. The deadline for submissions is 20 February 2026, and no physical prototype is required. The competition is free and open only to students from the state of Michigan.
