The Lucca Junior Competition – “Livio Sossi” Editorial Illustration Award 2026 offers artists of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to participate for free. Organized by Lucca Crea and Lucca Comics & Games, in collaboration with Lapis Edizioni and Book on a Tree, the competition aims to promote children’s literature. Participants must create a storyboard based on an unpublished text provided by the organization. The winner will receive 2000 euros, a publishing contract, and an exhibition of their work during the Lucca Comics & Games festival. Accommodation is also provided for the award ceremony. Selected works will be published and presented in an exhibition with special awards for best achievements. Submissions close on 16 February 2026.
