The Monhegan Artists’ Residency program offers residencies for visual artists connected to the state of Maine. Two two-week residencies are available, strictly in summer and fall, and a nine-day residency for K-12 art teachers from Maine in June. Artists, who must be at least 21 years old and not enrolled in a degree course, can apply in various visual disciplines. A weekly stipend of $350 is provided to cover expenses, reduced to $150 for the teachers’ option. There is a $25 application fee. Applications open on 27 January 2026 and close on 19 March 2026, with results announced on 19 April.
