The Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity is launching the sixth edition of the “Photography Strategy 2026” program, aiming to enhance the photography sector in Italy and abroad. With a total budget of 2 million euros, the initiative seeks to support acquisition and commissioning projects, as well as the promotion of photography through exhibitions and editorial productions. The call is divided into two main areas: one dedicated to acquiring works and commissioning new photographic projects for Italian public collections, and another focused on promoting photography. Applications must be submitted via the Portal Bandi with SPID or CIE registration by 15 April 2026. The program aims to prevent the dispersion of photographic heritage, enrich public collections, and promote Italian photography through the creation of national and international networks.
