The annual Young Filmmakers Contest, organized by the Jane Austen Society of North America (JASNA), invites young filmmakers up to 30 years old to submit original short films, no longer than 5 minutes, inspired by Jane Austen. Participation is free and open to amateur filmmakers worldwide. Prizes include cash awards for the top three winners and a one-year membership to JASNA. The winning films will be screened during JASNA’s Annual General Meeting and made available on global platforms. The jury includes influential experts in cinema and literature. The deadline for entries is set for 29 June 2026.
